About Annu Mehta

An innovative educator with over 20 years of experience, she is a passionate advocate for Theatre in Education and inquiry-based learning. Skilled in integrating drama with academic subjects, she enhances critical thinking, creativity, communication, and empathy among students. Her methodologies align with the National Curriculum Framework 2005, which she presented to Cambridge Schools in 2006.

In 2011, she launched Children's Theatre by Annu Mehta, offering process-based workshops for children under 8, organizing performances, and training teachers across the NCR region. Currently, she runs Theatrically, a cultural hub in Noida, dedicated to making theatre accessible and enriching for children and the community.

The journey of achieving her goal of promoting Theatre in Education involved -

  • Teacher Training Workshops in and beyond India
  • Consultation for extracurricular activities for schools
  • Conducting non-performance-based workshops for 4-12 yr olds
  • Directing school annual functions and public performances on her own
  • Organizing theatre festivals and performance-oriented carnivals
  • She came up with her own art center and performance space to host workshops and performance-based activities.
